getting your shiny visa sticker affixed
visa and waiver options
Did you know that there are almost as many visas and waivers are there are reasons to want to stay in the United States?
IMMIGRANT VISAS allow foreign-born persons to enter the United State and remain here indefinitely. Someone with this type of visa is considered a lawful permanent resident and is eligible to receive a “Green Card.”
NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS are temporary and are meant to be used by a foreign-born person who plans on visiting the United States and then returning to their home country. Visa Waiver Program is also available for certain selected countries when traveling temporarily to the United States under non-immigrant class of visitors.
WAIVERS of Grounds of Inadmissibility allow foreign-born persons who have been denied permission to enter the United States to come as a lawful permanent resident or fiancé(e) under certain circumstances. Each case is very specific to the circumstances you and your family face. This is one of David’s specialties in the area of immigration law.
